After seeing our previous web design work for Under The Thatch, we were contacted by Rated Places who were interested in our branding and web design services.
Our project began with a brand design overhaul of their existing logo, which was developed into a more contemporary design to support the brand’s identity and personality. Straight off the back of this we were asked to design their website which is the main profit-centre of the business, therefore both design and functionality were key. The result – a stunning website which showcased the new brand design beautifully and worked hard to generate visitors and therefore sales.
Without sounding like we’re blowing our own trumpet – ok we are kind of – nevertheless we’re pleased to say that we’ve won further client projects off the back of our work for Rated Places, which makes us a very happy brand design agency.
If you’d like to hear more or see further examples of our branding and web design projects please email us on ideas@lightbulb-moment.com and one of the team will call you back. Or you might want to call us on 01484 665 707 – we look forward to hearing from you.

Back in 2009, after a three-way pitch with other Design Agencies, Lightbulb were pleased to win the business from Brighter Connections, An I.T. company based in Huddersfield. We worked closely with them over a period of months to develop their brand image, and website. With a strong brand image to stand behind and be proud of, and with smart, on-brand communications, the company continued to grow, developing successful partnerships with industry leaders such as Microsoft, HP and Cisco.
Fast-forward two years later and the company are expanding again having moved to new, improved premises and continue to grow year on year in terms of measurable sales and brand awareness within their industry sector. We were trilled to be working with them again to help move their brand image forward to accommodate the changes to the business.
As the direction of their business transformed it was clear that the brand needed to be developed too, and so we began this branding journey with a Spotlight session to really get to grips with their objectives, goals and business values. Once we got an understanding of their new aspirations we were able to get our creative thinking cap on and together we have produced a new brand design, supported by a logo, full suite of print collateral, corporate stationary and website.
The project will also incorporate Social Media Strategy, Email Marketing and Public Relations to really get the new brand image off the ground, and ensure that it is received well by both existing and prospective clients.

Yet again, David has been asked by Huddersfield University to mentor final year Communications Design students.
This has mostly involved working with the students on their advertising strategy, copywriting, layout and typography.

We first met Emma Lawrenson at HOST 2011.
We fell in love with her delicate and intriguing screen prints. Emma was looking to develop her website and so, naturally, we hooked up together!
Her new site is clean and simple, showcasing the colour and composition of her work perfectly. Emma is delighted – and so are we!
When upcoming local photographer and flaneur, Robert Norbury, decided it was time for a major online overhaul, he knew just where to come.
We’ve been friends with Robert for years, and it has been a real pleasure to work with him on his new online portfolio and brand. His images are a constant source of inspiration – and we’ve even got a few adorning our office walls now!
Thanks Robert – and good luck with everything!
Lightbulb’s work for prestigious print marketing company Altavia-HTT has gone live on the web.
Our brief was to write copy and design banner graphics for HTT’s parent company Altavia’s new group website. Altavia have operations across Europe and Asia and our work was first to go live on their new site.
We’re thrilled to be entering our third year of working for Altavia and, like them, are very proud of the results!
